17/08 We have a tour of the Butchart Gardens and this afternoon a scenic
floatplane flight over Vancouver Island.
18/08 Today we depart Victoria and travel via the ferry and coach to Whistler
passing Shannon Falls, we continue on to Whistler Village where we
spend the night at FAIRMONT CHATEAU WHISTLER 4599 Chateau Bvde,
Whistler BC Canada BON1B4 1800606824. Tonight we meet a man who is a
leader in black bear research for a presentation.
19/08 Hat Creek Ranch is our first stop on the way to Sun Peaks we will learn
about the local culture of the Shuswap Nation. On to Sun Peaks located
in British Columbias interior. We stay overnight at DELTA SUN PEAKS
RESORT 3240 Village Way Sun Peaks BC BOE121 (250)578.6000 Tonight there
will be an insight into the fur trade and life as a pioneer.
20/08 Off to Banff this morning we will cross the provinical border and have
a brief sight seeing tour. We will spend 2 nights at the FAIRMONT BANFF

21/08 Today we have a Heli flightseeing tour over Spray Valley and the Spine
of the Goat Mountain. This afternoon, we get to explore Banff on our
own, the township is inside the Banff National Park, Canadas first and
the worlds 3rd.
22/08 A trip up the Banff Gondola begins our day its 698m up to the top of
Sulphur Mountain. Later on we visit Emerald Lake and Natural Bridge,
then a walk along the shoreline of Lake Louise. Overnight is at the

23/08 This morning we travel north along the Icefields Parkway, claimed to be
one of the most spectaculare journeys in the world. We stop at the
Columbia Icefield and take the "Ice Explorer" onto the mighty Athabasca
Glacier. Tonight and tomorrow night we will be at the FAIRMONT JASPER

24/08 We have chosen to do the Jasper Tramway tour ascending 2500m to the
peak of Jasper. This afternoon we will have a look around Jaspers
township and possibly look for a tavern to meet some locals, and
take a walk around Lake Beauvert.
25/08 Today we board the Rocky Mountaineer for our 2 day train trip to
Vancouver. We arrive into Kamloops and spend the night at a hotel to
be advised.
26/08 Continuing west following the Thomson River and Fraser River Valley,we
end our journey and are transferred to the FAIRMONT HOTEL 900 West
Georgia Street, Vancouver BC VGC2W6 1(800)5404452. We have dinner
with our tour director tonight at the Fairmont.
27/08 This morning we transfer to Canada Place where we join the Coral
Princess for our 7 night Alaskan Voyage we are in cabin B437, Deck
11. Sailawy is at 4.30pm
28/08 Scenic Cruising and meet and greet with Cruise Critic friends
29/08 Ketchikan 6.30am arrival depart 2.00pm We are doing a 1.5hour "town and
harbour "duck" tour. Drinks with Sharon & Paul !!
30/08 Juneau arrive 8.00am depart 9.00pm We have booked the MtRoberts tramway
tour and then a visit to the Red Dog Saloon to meet Paul & Shazza
31/08 Skagway arrive 7.00am depart 8.30pm. Todays tour is a train trip on the
White Pass Railway. Its a 5 hour tour. Drinks with P & S again !
01/09 Glacier Bay arrive 6am depart 3pm Glacier Bay is a UNESCO World
Heritage National Park.
02/09 College Fjord within Prince William Sound arrive 5.30pm depart 8.30pm
03/09 Disembark in Whittier to travel to MtMcKinley via the Alaska Wildlife
Refuge in Anchorage and a look at the Anchorage Markets. A visit to
Wassila (starting point for the annual Iditarod Race) before we arrive
at MTMcKINLEY PRINCESS WILDERNESS LODGE Mile 133 Parks Highway Denali

04/09 We board a coach from Mt McKinley to Talkeetna and then take the
"Midnight Sun Express" train for a 4 1/4 hour trip to Denali
National Park. We arrive in Denali at 3.45pm and our 2 night stay
is at the DENALI PRINCESS WILDERNESS LODGE Denali Mile 238.5 Parks
Hwy, Denali National Park, AK 99755 (907)6832545. Tonight we have
a "Music of Denali dinner and show"
05/09 Up early this morning for a 6-7am departure on the Tundra Wildlife
and wilderness tour 6am-3pm. The afternoon is at our leisure! Perhaps
a walk to Horseshoe Lake to look for beavers.
06/09 Today our journey takes us into the heart of the last frontier
Fairbanks, we board the riverboat "Discovery 111" after lunch for a
cruise along the Chena & Tanana Rivers. We visit an Athabascan village
and meet Susan Buthers famous sled dog team. 2.00pm - 5.30pm
Our coach takes us to the FAIRBANKS PRINCESS RIVERSIDE LODGE, 4477
Pikes Landing Road, Fairbanks, AK 99709 (907)455-4477 where we will
spend our final 2 nights in Alaska. Tonight we have a farewell dinner
07/09 This is where we go to the top of the world ! Our flight over the
Arctic Circle we fly over the Yukon River and land in Coldfoot, we will have a ground tour, lunch and receive a certificate to commemorate our visit. Back to the Princess Riverside to prepare for our flight to Las Vegas in the morning.

We are almost there, looking very good with all our tickets here, just the monumental task of sorting out what to pack for such a long trip, and learning how to get stuff sorted on the computer. Bonnie is on her holiday already so the house is very quiet.
